Ingredients for six people:

Chop the carrot, celery, onion and garlic and cook over low heat, add the bacon and when it is too browned, add the beans (if using dried ones, have them soak overnight in cold water) make them a little flavor 'and add two quarts of water, cabbage and potatoes cut into touch, add salt and cook for about two hours.
